Chelsea Green gives AEW and TNA contact information to released WWE talent

During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, WWE star Chelsea Green said she shares contact information for people at AEW and TNA with released WWE talent. She also hinted that doing so likely isn’t met with approval, saying “I’m sure everyone hates me for this.”
The former US Champion landed on the topic after Salcedo discussed how other female stars often speak of Green helping them in the industry.
“There’s no better compliment to me,” Green replied. “Honestly, I’m not an emotional person, but that makes me very emotional, because my goal in this industry is to make everyone feel welcome. There is a place for everyone.”
Chelsea then added that she’s mainly interested in elevating women wrestlers and doesn’t “care about the guys.”
“I’m nice to them, but I don’t give a flying f*** about the guys,” she said. “I was treated so poorly coming up, and I just knew—man—when I make it, I want everyone to feel comfortable coming to me.”
She said that it’s “so nice to hear because I do want everyone to have a good experience with me. I want everyone to know they’re supported.”
Charactering the wrestling world as “such a hard business,” Green said that’s important to her to help out others when she can.
“Whenever anyone gets released, the first thing I do is I message them and I give them the names of—I’m sure everyone hates me for this—but the girls love me for it,” she said. “I’ll give them the name of the AEW people I know that they can contact, and the name of the TNA people that they can contact. And then anyone else that I think you could work here, here, and here. Like, I think Billy Corgan would be great with NWA or whatever. Like Tommy Dreamer, contact him.”
Aside from her “major goal” of being a “really positive force within the locker room,” Green told Salcedo that it’s important for her to instill into other talent that “winning and losing doesn’t matter” in the grand scheme of things.
“I think I’ve done a good job of that,” she said. “You can lose and still be champion. You can lose and still be booked. You can lose and still
make a lot of money and be the face of this company.”
