A crash scene was blocking most, if not all, lanes of Interstate 40 West near the Airport Boulevard exit in Raleigh. As of 11 a.m., the traffic camera showed that the lanes have reopened, traffic is flowing and the remnants of the crash scene was pushed to the shoulder.
Traffic camera footage from the NCDOT showed a crash involving at least three cars. Emergency responders were at the scene blocking all lanes.
The scene was expected to be cleared by 12:30 p.m., but it quickly cleared around 45 minutes later after the crash happened.
We are working to find out more about what happened and if anyone was injured.
