Main York road to shut tomorrow for emergency waterworks

Yorkshire Water is closing a street in York to carry out repairs tomorrow (Friday, 23 January).
Goodramgate will be shut to traffic from 9.30am, from number 75, the Festival Of Fun shop, to the junction with Deansgate.
It’s to allow work to take place on a water main.
Pedestrians will still be able to walk down the street and businesses will be open as usual.
Blue Badge access to the city centre will be maintained via High Petergate while the work takes place.
Yorkshire Water and contractor M Group are expecting the important repair work to be completed quickly and the road reinstated and reopened for Saturday 24 January.
