Purdue Downs Old Dominion, 4-1

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Purdue men’s tennis team (2-1) took down Old Dominion, 4-1 in the ITA Kickoff Weekend’s opening round, clinching the match with four straight singles victories.

No. 76 ranked Nour Fathalla, Henrik Villanger, Juan David Velasquez and Jacob Lee picked up individual wins to secure Purdue’s advancement. The victory was clinched by Lee, a freshmen, in his first collegiate singles match.

The doubles point went the distance, coming down to the final court and extra points before Old Dominion won 7-5.

Tomorrow, Purdue will take on No. 6 Ohio State on its home court at 4 p.m. ET for the Championship match.
