A list of North Texas restaurants and bars open during the winter storm

With winter weather bearing down on North Texas, many restaurants in the region have made the decision to close, but some are keeping their lights on and their ovens hot — at least for as long as they have power.

Here is a running list of restaurants, bars, bakeries and coffee shops that plan to stay open during the winter storm this weekend:

Al Biernat’s, Oak Lawn

The Oak Lawn location of Al Biernat’s will open for dinner Saturday until 9 p.m. The North Dallas location will remain closed. It has yet to be determined if the restaurants will open Sunday.

Al Biernat’s is located at 5251 Spring Valley Rd., Dallas.

Alamo Club, Lower Greenville

Alamo Club on Dallas’ Greenville Avenue said it has “the doors open, the heat cranked and the vibes hotter than your new situationship” with normal hours in place.

Alamo Club is located at 1919 Greenville Ave., Dallas.

Beverley’s Bistro and Bar, Uptown

This neighborhood American bistro known for its matzo ball soup is open for lunch and dinner this weekend.

Beverley’s Bistro and Bar is located at 3215 N. Fitzhugh Ave., Dallas.

Burger Schmurger, East Dallas

This burger spot will be open Saturday, but only from noon to 5 p.m. Whether it will open Sunday has yet to be determined, its owners said.

Burger Schmurger is located at 718 N. Buckner Blvd., Dallas.

Casa Brasa, Dallas

This newcomer to Dallas’ restaurant scene will stay open despite the winter weather. It serves lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.

Cenzo’s Pizza and Deli

Cenzo’s will be open during the storm on Saturday starting at noon, but because they won’t be fully staffed, they’ll have a limited menu of cheeseburgers and Frito pie with $4 draft beer and wine. Keep an eye on their Instagram page to see if they’ll open Sunday.

Claremont Neighborhood Grill, Preston Hollow

This neighborhood hang out will open Saturday at 4 p.m.for dinner. It will be open until 10 p.m.

Detour Doughnuts, Frisco

Detour Doughnuts plans to stay open Saturday and Sunday, but likely with a later opening time than their usual 8 a.m. Check their Instagram page for exact hours.

Encina, Bishop Arts

Encina is serving brunch on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but it will close for dinner.

Encina is located at 614 W. Davis St., Dallas.

Flying Fish, multiple locations

The gumbo is hot at Flying Fish, which has eight locations around North Texas. The restaurant plans to be open for lunch and dinner through the weekend.

Flying Fish has locations in Addison, Arlington, Dallas, Coppell, Fort Worth, Garland and Plano.

Flying Saucer, multiple locations

The four North Texas locations of Flying Saucer will be open as normal for lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.

Flying Saucer has locations in Coppell, Fort Worth, Garland and Grapevine.

Fount Board and Table, Uptown

This cafe, which serves breakfast and lunch, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Green Point Seafood and Oyster Bar, Knox Henderson

For martinis and oysters, head to Green Point on Knox Street. The restaurant is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Goodfriend Beer Garden, East Dallas

It’s business as usual at Goodfriend Beer Garden. The bar and restaurant will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday, one hour earlier than usual. Its owners haven’t said yet if it will be open on Sunday.

Halcyon, East Dallas

This Greenville Avenue cafe is open Saturday, but it will close early around 4 p.m. It’s unclear if it will also open Sunday.

Halcyon is located at 2900 Greenville Ave., Dallas.

Hendy’s on Henderson, East Dallas

Hendy’s is serving $8 hot toddys and $8 spiked hot chocolate during the storm. It will open Saturday at 1 p.m. It’s unclear if it will open Sunday.

Inwood Tavern, Dallas

“Rain, sleet or snow … we Tavern,” said Inwood Tavern’s Instagram page. This longtime bar will operate as normal Saturday and Sunday.

Katy Trail Ice House, Dallas

“We’re doing what we always do: staying open!” said the Intagram page for Katy Trail Ice House. The bar will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. and is expected to be open Sunday, too.

Las Palmas Tex-Mex, Uptown

Uptown Tex-Mex spot Las Palmas plans to stay open for regular lunch and dinner service through the weekend.

Las Palmas Tex-Mex is located at 2708 Routh St., Dallas.

Little Blue Bistro, Bishop Arts

If you’re in the Bishop Arts area, head to Little Blue Bistro for warm Wagyu pot roast. The restaurant and wine bar plans to stay open for dinner Saturday and Sunday.

Little Blue Bistro is located at 320 W Eighth St., Dallas.

Lubellas Patisserie, East Dallas

The pastry case at Lubellas Patisserie is stocked. The bakery and cafe is open Saturday until 5 p.m.

Mamani, Uptown

This Michelin-starred restaurant at The Quad in Uptown will be open for regular dinner service Saturday and Sunday.

Mayer’s Garden, Henderson Avenue

Mayer’s Garden will be open and offering $5 chili, $7 Frito pies and $8 hot drinks all weekend long.

Milo Butterfingers, Dallas

This bar near Southern Methodist University will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday and stay open as long as it has power. Any changes in hours will be shared on the bar’s Instagram page.

Milo Butterfingers is located at 5645 SMU Blvd., Dallas.

Miriam Cocina Latina, Dallas and Coppell

Both locations of Miriam Cocina Latina are open during the storm. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Miriam Cocina Latina has a location at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas and another in Coppell.

Mot Hai Ba, Old East Dallas

This East Dallas restaurant, which received Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition, will remain open Saturday and Sunday for regular dinner service.

Mot Hai Ba is located at 6047 Lewis St., Dallas.

Muchacho, University Park

The Dallas location of this Tex-Mex restaurant will stay open for lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.

Muchacho is located at 4011 Villanova St., Dallas.

Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen, Lower Greenville

This Michelin-recognized spot on Greenville Avenue will be open the whole weekend, but it will close early at 9 p.m. each night instead of its usual 10 p.m. weekend closing time.

Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen is located at 1907 Greenville Ave., Dallas.

Pillar, Bishop Arts

Neighborhood bistro Pillar is staying open for regular service, and it is handing out free hot chocolate all day Saturday and Sunday. Chef and owner Peja Krstic said to ask the bartender to pour in some whiskey if you need it.

Pillar is located at 408 N. Bishop Ave. #108, Dallas.

Rodeo Goat, multiple locations

All locations of this burger joint plan to stay open Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Rodeo Goat has 10 locations across Dallas-Fort Worth.

St. Martin’s Wine Bistro, Old East Dallas

This longtime bistro will be open for dinner during the storm on Saturday and Sunday.

St. Martin’s Wine Bistro is located at 4223 Bryan St., Dallas.

Stan’s Blue Note, Greenville Avenue

For a snowy dive bar hang, head to Stan’s Blue Note. The bar will be open from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Sunday.

Taco y Vino, Bishop Arts

The Dallas location of Taco y Vino is open for Saturday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Garland location is closed.

Village Baking Co., multiple locations

All locations of Village Baking Co. will be open Saturday until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Village Baking Co. has locations in Bishop Arts, Lower Greenville, Oak Lawn and Preston Center.
