Rangers could be set to make a big signing in the striking department – with the Ibrox club reportedly in talks to recruit giant Hansa Rostock talisman Ryan Naderi.
Danny Rohl is again using his German connection to recruit from his homeland with the Ibrox club reportedly making an offer of around £2.6million for the player, who would become the fourth signing this window.
Naderi plays in the third tier but is regarded as a player with big potential to match his height – the 22-year-old striker is a towering 6ft 4in frontman.
Sky Sports in Germany report that “talks between the clubs are ongoing, and Naderi is hoping an agreement can be reached” as Rohl looks to boost his attacking options.
Naderi has scored eight goals in 17 appearances this season and made three assists in Sunday’s 4-0 win against SV Waldhof. He is a product of the Dynamo Dresden youth academy where he graduated before joining Borussia Monchengladbach in 2021.
But he never made the first team breakthrough and joined Hansa Rostock two years ago, plying his trade in Germany’s third tier ever since.

Rohl is desperate to find a more clinical edge in his team with his side struggling to kill games off this season despite Youssef Chermiti recently hitting a bit of form. He missed Sunday’s 3-0 win over Dundee and Bojan Miovski fired a blank.
