WNBA star Breanna Stewart showed a sign reading “Abolish ICE” Sunday to a crowd at a Miami-area arena before a game with her Unrivaled league team.
Stewart, 31, said afterward that she was “just disgusted from everything” she saw in the news regarding the events in Minnesota the day before. On Saturday, an intensive care nurse was fatally shot by a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Minneapolis amid widespread protests there over the Trump administration’s aggressive efforts to round up immigrants.
