Ned Luke is going viral on Twitter, uploading a black and white picture of himself, insinuating that the actor’s alleged death. The 67-year-old is famous for being the voice, motion capture actor, and character model of Michael De Santa in the popular video game Grand Theft Auto V.
Luke has also appeared in numerous films, commercials, and television shows over the years. Along with his famous character in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, Ned also served as the motion capture actor for Moonshiner in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Ned Luke is alive, as the tweet only mentioned his age, not his alleged passing. The X account, @GTASixJoker, uploaded the black-and-white picture to mislead the fans. They clearly mention in their bio that they upload parody posts.
“#1 Source for PARODY GTA 6 and Red Dead News | Everything here is satire | Reputable Insider | GTA 6 Voice Actor | Sometimes I post serious stuff,” the X account stated.
The viral tweet garnered over 11,000 likes. Netizens called out the GTASixJoker, saying they fell for the prank and thought that the voice actor passed away.
“Can we stop putting a grey filter and saying bro is age [insert number here] i admit w engagement bait tho,” one fan wrote.
“For a second there i thought he died becuase of the black and white photo,” another X user added.

Ned Luke previously made headlines when his home was swatted while he was livestreaming. For the unversed, swatting is when people call and file a false police report and send a heavily armed SWAT team to someone’s address.
Swatting has become a frequent issue amongst the licestreaming community. Some viewers repeatedly sent SWAT teams to streamers’ homes to disrupt their gameplay or otherwise disturb them.
More details on Ned Luke being swatted
The voice actor was streaming while playing Grand Theft Auto Online in November 2023 when he suddenly received a call informing him that the police were outside his residence.
Ned quickly ended the stream, telling his viewers that someone found his address and swatted him. Afterward, fans started calling out Rockstar Games, thinking the game itself leaked Luke’s IP address.
However, the streamer responded on X, claiming the speculations were false. He defended the company and shared that his address was leaked years ago by some people. Ned Luke also shared that it was the sixth time he was swatted.
The voice actor went viral in December 2025, as he was swatted for the eighth time. However, this time the police officers calmly entered his room and greeted him normally. As Ned Luke and the officers knew each other due to the frequent swatting, he got up from his seat and hugged them.
Afterward, the streamer uploaded a Department of Justice document to Instagram. It appeared to be a federal charge and a court summons, placed on someone who allegedly swatted him repeatedly. In the Instagram post caption, Luke stated that he would continue to file charges against the swatters.
