Tottenham move on from Andy Robertson with bid for star who commits less fouls than Djed Spence
A move for Liverpool defender Andy Robertson looks to have fallen through for Tottenham, and it’s back to the drawing board.
The Scotland star was hopeful of a move to Spurs after falling down the pecking order at Anfield, but with defenders in short supply for Arne Slot, Robertson is now required on Merseyside.
For Tottenham, that’s a blow, with Thomas Frank looking to get some balance into his defence after losing Ben Davies with a long-term injury sustained in the defeat to West Ham.
It does appear that the board of directors at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium aren’t going to sit on their hands, however, with a new name now emerging as a potential left-back target.

Tottenham Hotspur want Hugo Bueno
Wolves might be bottom of the pile and cruising towards the EFL, but that doesn’t mean that clubs aren’t still monitoring their star players with the transfer window open.
According to Team Talk, Spurs are keen to land Bueno before next week’s deadline, with Wolves open to cashing in on some of their stars whilst they still have their Premier League status.
The 23-year-old has been one of the standout performers for Wolves in a drab campaign in the Premier League and given that he still holds some potential, suitors are emerging.
It’s believed that Bueno is available for £20 million in this window and that might prove to be a little bit of a steal if Tottenham can get it over the line.
Bueno has made 20 appearances for Wolves this season, and according to Who Scored, he commits fewer fouls than Djed Spence, who has been playing left-back for Tottenham.

Bueno is low-risk option for Tottenham
It might not be a great look signing a player from the club rock-bottom of the Premier League, but Bueno would have significant resale value should Tottenham land him.
There is also an argument that he will be much better with superior players around him, and that is certainly what he would get at Tottenham.
Spence is being asked to do a job at left-back right now, and against Dortmund last week, he was far better playing as an attacker in a more advanced role.
Bueno would only cost £20 million, and with that in mind, this deal feels like a piece of low-hanging fruit that is very easy for Tottenham to complete before the window closes.
