Person in critical condition after Arizona shooting involving Border Patrol

A person was shot in an incident involving U.S. Border Patrol in Arizona near the U.S.-Mexico border Tuesday morning, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
The person was in critical condition when medical crews arrived to the scene about 7:37 a.m. in Arivaca, an unincorporated community in Pima County, according to a news release from the Santa Rita Fire District. The person, who has not been identified, was transferred by helicopter to a regional trauma center.
