Nicki Minaj ‘paying it forward’ with appearance at Trump summit

Nicki Minaj calls JD Vance an ‘assassin’ to Erika Kirk

Nicki Minaj referenced Vice President JD Vance as an ‘assassin’ at a Turning Point event while talking to Erika Kirk.

Nicki Minaj is reaching a turning point in her MAGA pivot.

The rapper, 43, who courted controversy among fans when she appeared at a conservative Turning Point USA event in December, is doubling down on her alliance with President Donald Trump. Minaj is listed as one of several speakers set to appear at an upcoming Treasury Department event.

The summit is aimed at spreading awareness about “Trump Accounts,” a new pilot program from the administration that will give children born after Jan. 1, 2025, and before Dec. 31, 2028, investment accounts with a one-time deposit of $1000.

Confirming her participation in the event, Minaj wrote on X: “The true meaning of paying it forward. Early financial literacy & financial support for our children will give them a major head start in life. In some cases, they will end up teaching their very own parents how to invest & what to invest in. This makes me very happy.”

Minaj is one of several headlining names set to appear at the summit, including onetime “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actress Cheryl Hines. Hines is married to Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr.

Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent are also set to speak.

Minaj’s appearance comes amid the fervor over her recent alignment with the Trump administration. Minaj sat down with conservative figure Erika Kirk on Dec. 21 at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest conference in Phoenix, praising both Trump and Vice President JD Vance for their relatability.

“I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president. I don’t even know if he knows this, but he has given so many people hope that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys and to win and to do it with your head held high and your integrity intact,” Minaj said.

Following her appearance alongside Kirk, a petition encouraging Immigration and Customs Enforcement to deport the rapper garnered over 53,000 signatures.
