If we’re being honest, we really didn’t think that CIA would ever come to fruition. It just felt like setback after setback. That’s not to say that we aren’t looking forward to it. We are.
Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss as partners – we are here for it. Jeremy Sisto guest-starring in the series premiere? Not shocked. It seems as though FBI’s Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine pops up everywhere in anything that spins off from FBI.
The premiere episode is entitled Directed Energy and according to the official logline, “a top-secret weapon is stolen in broad daylight from a U.S. defense contractor, CIA agent Colin Glass is paired with FBI agent Bill Goodman to investigate. Their new partnership gets off to a rocky start, but they soon realize their opposing viewpoints may be their greatest asset.”
CIA will focus “on two unlikely partners – a fast-talking, rule-breaking loose cannon CIA case officer (Tom Ellis), and a by-the-book, seasoned and smart FBI agent (Nick Gehlfuss) who believes in the rule of law. When this odd couple are assigned to work out of CIA’s New York Station, they must learn to work together to investigate cases and criminals posing threats on U.S. soil, finding that their differences may actually be their strength.”
We don’t know what will happen next, but we’re anxious to find out.
