MINNESOTA – Elaine Helen Knaack Acheson passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 84.
Elaine was born on July 21, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and grew up in Wauwatosa. She was raised in the Lutheran church and maintained a quiet but profound Christian faith throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and people-watching, and had a lifelong fondness for bears and dogs. Elaine was deeply devoted to her family and was known for her strength, loyalty, and willingness to stand up for what she believed was right.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather, and son-in-law, Kevin Klein, and by her grandson, Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and Elmer Knaack; her husband, Arthur Acheson; her sister, Marilyn; and many close and beloved friends.
Private family graveside services will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army or the Animal Humane Society. Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
