It might be freezing outside, but Penn State brought the heat with these sweaters.

The women’s team went with a classic all-white look with a throwback font from the 80s and 90s across the chest. The two thin stripes contrast their usual home whites, which have a thick, blue stripe on the arms and waist. It’s clean and classic, and the whiteout will fit right in at Beaver Stadium.

The men’s jerseys also pay homage to Penn State history, going all the way back to the first era of varsity hockey in Happy Valley in the 1940s. The font and striping on the sweater closely resemble the jerseys the team wore from 1941-47, along with the white pants.

Of course, a hockey game on the gridiron would be incomplete without some football references. The team opted to go with a “nameless’ look on the backs of the jerseys to adopt the football team’s mantra, “No Names, All Game.” The solid blue stripe on the pants also references the football team’s “Generations of Greatness” uniforms , along with the Nittany Lion Shrine on the neckline.

The inside of the collar also features a hidden football design, but the easter eggs don’t stop there: the number font on the back of the jersey features a Beaver Stadium Blueprint pattern to reference the stadium construction from this year.
