Take a breath, NFL fans.

After 18 weeks of a regular season that was as unpredictable as ever followed by three spectacular weeks of the playoffs, the Super Bowl matchup is set.

It’s the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks vs. the AFC champion New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

But that’s not until Sunday, Feb. 8. That means it’s the first weekend since late August that there won’t be an NFL game.

Here’s what to know about Super Bowl 60, including the time and date, the TV schedule and an updated playoff bracket:

Is there a football game this weekend?

No, there are not any playoff games this weekend. Following the championship games last Sunday, Jan. 25, there is a two-week break until the Super Bowl.

NFL playoff schedule

The wild-card round kicked off the playoffs with four of the six games decided by four or fewer points. The action was just as fierce in the divisional round the following week with two overtime games. And both of the championship games last Sunday, Jan. 25, came down to the wire, with the margin three points in the AFC contest and four in the NFC. After all of this exhilarating football, is a classic in store for the Super Bowl?

  • Wild card round: Jan. 10-12
  • Divisional round: Jan. 17-18
  • Championship games: Jan. 25
  • Super Bowl: Feb. 8

Who’s playing in the Super Bowl?

The NFC’s top-seeded Seattle Seahawks (14-3) play the AFC’s second-seeded New England Patriots (14-3) in Super Bowl 60.

The Seahawks, led by quarterback Sam Darnold and a dominant defense, outlasted NFC West rival, Los Angeles Rams, 31-27, in the NFC championship game to advance to their fourth Super Bowl. It’s Seattle’s first trip to the Super Bowl since the 2014 season when it had back-to-back appearances.

The Patriots, led by second-year quarterback Drake Maye and first-year coach Mike Vrabel, edged the Denver Broncos, 10-7, in the AFC title game to punch their ticket to a 12th Super Bowl. New England will attempt to win its seventh Super Bowl and break a tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers for most all-time.

It will be a rematch from Super Bowl 49 when the Seahawks and Patriots played for the Lombardi Trophy after the 2014 season. Tom Brady and the Patriots denied Russell Wilson and the Seahawks a repeat title in a thriller, 28-24, at the University of Phoenix Stadium. It was the Patriots’ fourth Super Bowl in franchise history and the start of another run where New England won three Lombardi Trophies during a five-year stretch.
