Donnie Freeman; Syracuse’s leading scorer, not in starting lineup vs. Notre Dame

Syracuse, N.Y. ― The Syracuse Orange, looking to snap a four-game losing streak, is shaking things up for its game against Notre Dame on Saturday.

Donnie Freeman, Syracuse’s leading scorer, is not in the Orange’s starting lineup for the game against the Irish, which is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the JMA Wireless Dome.

Freeman is not injured, according to Syracuse director of athletic communications Pete Moore.

Sadiq White, a 6-9 freshman, is starting instead of Freeman.

Freeman, a 6-9 forward, is averaging 19.2 points per game. He is coming off a 14-point, 10-rebound performance in Syracuse’s loss at NC State on Tuesday.

Syracuse brings a 12-9 overall record into Saturday’s game. The Orange’s four-game losing streak has dropped the team’s ACC record to 3-5.
