Clint Eastwood isn’t just a world-renowned actor. He’s also something of a real-estate mogul. Decades ago, the 95-year-old movie star founded the private residential community Teháma in the hills of Carmel, California. (Eastwood also served a two-year term as mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea from 1986 to 1988.) He keeps a home there himself, and a former property of his nearby hit the market for $21 million back in 2024. Now a different residence in the Teháma enclave is up for grabs, meaning you can be neighbors with the four-time Oscar winner.

The $9.9 million estate is more of a multigenerational compound than a single-family residence. It includes a main house designed by the local architect Craig Holdren; an ADU and a junior ADU, both with interiors courtesy of Kerry Gillette from Graham Hill Design; and a renovated barn with a guest bedroom, an office, and conference space. The entire spread encompasses almost 5,000 square feet of living space and sits on 12.3 acres of land.
The main residence is a bright and airy new build, topped by vaulted wood ceilings and skylights that allow the warm Pacific light to filter in. Custom plaster walls wrap around an open main room, where a herringbone-stone fireplace anchors the living area and white cabinetry contrasts with stainless-steel appliances in the kitchen. Radiant-heated tile and hardwood floors line the bathrooms and bedrooms, including the upper-level primary suite. Here, a soaking tub sits beneath expansive windows with views of the hillside, and there’s a private deck where owners can take a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon tea.

The separate guest house centers around a fireplace-warmed living room and a gleaming open kitchen. A second fireplace heats the bedroom, too, and friends and family have access to an outdoor shower, wine storage, and a large upper deck. The junior ADU and the barn add a couple of additional options for guests, with the property offering a total of seven bedrooms and seven full bathrooms.
A central courtyard among all the structures provides a place for everyone to gather. There’s a minimalistic pool and spa, with room for a fire pit nearby. An expansive, covered outdoor kitchen affords plenty of space for grilling and mixing up drinks for parties. On chilly nights, a roaring fireplace will keep the dining area warm while you chow down with your pals and maybe a certain A-list neighbor.
