Report: Cardinals plan to hire Rams OC Mike LaFleur as head coach

The Cardinals appear to have found their next head coach.

Arizona is planning to hire Rams offensive co-ordinator Mike LaFleur to be its next head coach, The Athletic‘s Diana Russini reported on Sunday.

LaFleur, the younger brother of Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, would replace Jonathan Gannon, who was fired earlier this month.

Leading the Rams offence since 2023, LaFleur also served as the New York Jets offensive co-ordinator from 2021-’22.

LaFleur is the final cog in the 2026 head-coaching cycle, as each other team with a vacancy has officially or reportedly found a new boss.

The 38-year-old LaFleur looks to help an Arizona team, which was 3-14 in 2025, get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
