Bad Bunny’s 2026 Grammys Tuxedo Came With a Subtle Twist

THE RUNDOWN
Ladies and gentlemen, Bad Bunny.
The singer is back on the red carpet at the 2026 Grammy Awards tonight, attending this year’s show as a nominee across several major categories.
The Puerto Rican rapper wore a custom velvet Schiaparelli haute couture tuxedo with a subtle twist: crisscross stitching down the back, which he modeled while posing for photos.

Bad Bunny is nominated for Record of the Year for “DtMF,” Album of the Year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, Song of the Year for “DtMF” as a songwriter, Best Música Urbana Album for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, Best Global Music Performance for “EoO,” and Best Album Cover for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.
Released in January 2025, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS reflects a shift toward more personal storytelling for the artist. In a May 2025 interview with Vogue, Bad Bunny said the project was shaped by time spent away from Puerto Rico, explaining, “I had been carrying those feelings since the year I spent living in Los Angeles.” He added that the album came together after returning home to work more intensively: “I returned to Puerto Rico in November a comerme el estudio—the album wasn’t even 80% done.” Reflecting on the confidence behind the record, he said, “Success can give you confidence, just like it can give you insecurities; it gave me a lot of confidence, but I’ve always believed more in my ideas than anything else.”
Fashion has also remained a central part of Bad Bunny’s public presence throughout the past year. His recent red carpet appearances have featured tailored Valentino ensembles, Adidas by Wales Bonner footwear, and more custom looks that mix traditional menswear with unexpected silhouettes—because playing it safe has never really been his thing.
