Why Blackpink’s Jennie and Jisoo Aren’t at the 2026 Grammys

THE RUNDOWN
Blackpink’s Rosé is a three-time Grammy nominee tonight, with her and Bruno Mars’s single “APT.” earning nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. But her fellow K-pop group members didn’t join her that evening.

Lisa explained the reason for her absence at the Golden Globes, telling E!, “I have a movie shoot, so I can’t be there.”
Jennie, meanwhile, posted shots of herself earlier today at Moncler’s January 31 show in Aspen, Colorado:
Jisoo kept her whereabouts more private, instead sharing shots from her Self-Portrait campaign today:
Blackpink just finished their Deadline World Tour in Hong Kong on January 26.
The group did not receive any nominations this year, but the 2027 ceremony could be a different story. The girls are releasing their highly anticipated mini album Deadline on February 27, well within the eligibility period for next year’s ceremony.
In December, Jennie spoke to V magazine about what it was like to return to the stage with the group. “Obviously, all of us were not afraid, but we didn’t know what to expect going back into the group and being on tour after three years,” she recalled. “Nothing has really changed [in terms of the dynamic], but also, we’ve all released solo albums, too. So being able to bring different music into our sets and watching each other’s performances from a new perspective was a new thing for us, which made it more fun.”
She added that they aren’t competitive with each other. “Overall, being back onstage with all of us together felt very much like home. When you don’t go home for a year because of work or whatever, and you go back, and it still feels like home…it’s that kind of feeling where you don’t need to expect anything. Your body knows that you’re home.”
