AS Monaco entertaining deadline day move for Sunderland’s Simon Adingra

AS Monaco have made Sunderland winger Simon Adingra (24) a deadline day target to bolster Sébastien Pocognoli’s options up front, according to a report from L’Equipe. Les Monégasques are in the market for attacking reinforcements before tonight’s closing of the 2026 winter transfer window. Monaco tried to re-sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Eliesse Ben Seghir, but the latter’s ankle sprain has put an end to Monaco’s pursuit.
Now L’Equipe understands that AS Monaco have turned their attention towards a loan move for Adingra, who is not a nailed-on starter for Sunderland head coach Régis Le Bris on the back of his €24m move from Brighton and Hove Albion FC last summer. The Ivory Coast international only started nine Premier League games with the Black Cats.
