Bristol Rovers are in talks to sign Oldham Athletic striker Joe Quigley, Bristol Live understands.
After the 3-0 win against Newport County on Saturday, Steve Evans confirmed that the club would ideally “bring three in, maybe even sneak a fourth in” ahead of today’s 7pm deadline.
Quigley would add another option up front for Evans’ side, alongside Fabrizio Cavegn, Ellis Harrison, Promise Omochere and Callum Morton.

Who is Joe Quigley?
Quigley joined AFC Bournemouth’s academy in 2007 before signing a professional contract with the club eight years later. While he was contracted at the Cherries, Quigley spent time on loan at Poole Town, Torquay United, Wrexham, Woking, Gillingham, Newport County, and Boreham Wood.
After his release from Bournemouth, Quigley joined Maidstone United in the summer of 2018. He only spent a few months at The Stones before joining Bromley in October. He then spent the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Eastbourne Borough and Havant & Waterlooville.

In January 2022, Quigley signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Chesterfield, making over 100 appearances for The Spireites and scoring 21 goals – helping the club win the National League in the 2023/24 campaign.
