CANTON ‒ Malone University says it is under a campus shelter-in-place order due to a credible threat.
The order was given around 8:30 a.m. Feb. 2. and remained in place as of 8:50 a.m., according to Facebook posts by the school.
Those not on campus should remain away from the area, according to the posted.
The posting said the order was not a drill but listed no additional details about the type of threat or impact.
Officials said they would provide additional information when it is available.
A message was left Feb. 2 seeking comment from Canton police.
