Papua New Guinea approves USD 120 mln submarine cable programme
Papua New Guinea’s National Executive Council has approved a USD120 million financing proposal from the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) to deliver three new international submarine cable connections for the country under the Pukpuk Connectivity Initiative. The proposal is structured as a multi-route undersea cable programme intended to improve redundancy and reduce single points of failure in the country’s international connectivity.
