Amanda Balionis and Brooks Koepka failed to reach same conclusions on his PGA Tour return but the CBS golf reporter was full of praise for the ex-LIV Golf man.
Koepka announced his comeback to the PGA Tour after leaving the Saudi-backed circuit for family reasons. The five-time major winner battled to make the weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open but finished T-56 in his first event back on the American circuit.
Balionis took to Instagram to share her feelings on Justin Rose’s major win at 23-under, becoming the oldest player to win at Torrey Pines, and she also left a comment for Koepka after an awkward disagreement earlier in the week.

“We also had the pleasure to welcome @bkoepka back to the PGA TOUR. He embraced all of the questions and requests with grace and the fans embraced him in a special way.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better return to @golfoncbs and can’t wait to bring you the WM Phoenix Open next!”
Balionis praised Koepka, who showed resilience to the media and fans after carding a one-over round at Torrey Pines in his first Tour start since 2022, barely making the cut into the weekend.

The disagreement came earlier in the week, where Balionis noted he made significant improvements heading into the final rounds after Koepka claimed he was “falling in love with the game again.”
Koepka spent hours working on the greens before the final round of Farmers Insurance, and Balionis complimented the star noting his “huge improvement.”
The former LIV Golf star disagreed with the reporter, and claimed he “wasn’t great” and “overdid it” at times during the final round and is looking forward to the Phoenix Open this week at the Stadium Course.
“I mean, it wasn’t great today, I think I kind of overdid it, but a little bit, a few more hours of practice, it’ll be nice,” Koepka said in disagreement with Balionis. “Next week the greens are pretty good, so get out there Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and grind on that.”

Balionis fought back: “You were losing almost five and a half strokes on the field yesterday in strokes game putting. You pretty much broke even today, so there was certainly an improvement.”
Despite the disagreement, Balionis noted Koepka was delightful, as the five-time major winner will return to the Phoenix Open where he’ll search for a repeat of his championship in 2015.
“I enjoy next week,” said Koepka after the round, looking ahead to the WM Phoenix Open. “I love the chaos, I think it’s fun. Yeah, it’s been, what, four years since I’ve been back so I’m excited to get back out there to a place I’m familiar with, comfortable with and a place I love.”
It comes after Balionis hard-launched her relationship with a gushing post over her new boyfriend.
