Report: Giants to hire Nagy as OC

John Harbaugh has turned to the Andy Reid coaching tree for his offensive coordinator.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the New York Giants are hiring Matt Nagy for the role.
Nagy, 47, spent the past three years in the role under Reid with the Kansas City Chiefs. It was his second stint in the role, having previously had the job in 2016 and 2017. Nagy won two Super Bowls with the team.
While Harbaugh and Nagy never crossed paths, both worked under Reid with the Philadelphia Eagles.
From 2018 to 2021, Nagy served as head coach of the Chicago Bears. His had 34-31 mark across four seasons, winning an NFC North title in 2018 and making the playoffs a second time in 2020. His team did not win a playoff game in either season.
Harbaugh was fired by the Baltimore Ravens after 18 seasons in January. He joined the Giants on a five-year deal later in the month>
After announcing the departure of Nagy, the Chiefs re-hired Eric Bienemy as OC.
