Drivers on the M11 are facing chaos this evening after a major “multi-vehicle crash” saw traffic brought to a complete standstill. The incident occurred at around 2.45pm near Harlow, Essex.
National Highways said traffic is being held on the southbound section of the major motorway between junctions 8 and 7A. There are delays of up to 60 minutes and five miles of congestion. Traffic officers are towing a vehicle to the hard shoulder and also dealing with a spillage. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area where possible. The Daily Express has contacted Essex Police and East of England Ambulance Services for comment.
