Day 1 of the 2026 Westminster Dog Show is over.
That means we’ve learned some of the winners of the seven groups — in case you don’t know, each dog breed has a winner, and each of those dogs then compete for the group title. Then all the group winners competed for Best in Show on Tuesday night. Got it? Good.
Those groups would be: Herding, Sporting, Non-Sporting, Hound, Terrier, Toy and Working.
After Day 1, we had some of the group winners named by judges. The rest will be named on Tuesday night before the Best in Show judging. Here’s a roundup:
