Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NCAA basketball odds around the Miami vs. Buffalo odds and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions for the best bets.
Miami totes its undefeated record to Buffalo on the heels of a Saturday home win over the Northern Illinois Huskies. In a game that was quite close for the first 25 minutes, Miami covered a -16.5 in a 85-61 (Under 157.5) victory. The easy win came despite one of the top 3-point shooting teams in the nation (40.9%) having an off day from distance; the RedHawks went just 7-of-28 (25%) against NIU.
Buffalo filed a 95-83 (Over 156.5) loss to the +2.5 Ohio Bobcats in its last game Saturday. Since Jan. 10, the Bulls are 1-6, including a wild 105-102 overtime loss to the RedHawks. Buffalo lost in Oxford in a Jan. 17 game that saw Miami hit buzzer beaters at the end of regulation and the OT period.
Miami is 4-0 straight up and 3-1 against the spread over the last 4 series meetings and leads the all-time series 32-27.

Miami at Buffalo picks and predictions
Prediction
Miami 82, Buffalo 79
No interest; PASS.
Miami has had its share of close calls in getting its unbeaten record past Groundhog Day. And certainly one of those close calls was against these Bulls on Jan. 17. Buffalo has had ups and downs since, but the way it goes toe-to-toe with just about anybody — at least in sections of games — the home team is a live wire in this one.
Miami has been a tremendous 3-point shooting team, but its off day Saturday is part of a 3-game trend that has seen the RedHawks shoot just 29.5% from beyond the arc. Buffalo has defended the perimeter slightly better over recent games, and it has a shot-blocker — C Tim Oboh — inside. Slowing down the RedHawks’ outside and drive-the-lane games is a key to beating them. Buffalo profiles as a team that can get those stops.
Miami is coming off back-to-back big-crowd home games. There is much newfound energy and enthusiasm around the program. Look for a potential letdown in this one. Save for shooting lights out from 3-point-land, Miami figures to be pushed to the brink in this Tuesday road tilt.
BACK BUFFALO +4.5 (-110).
The pace mix here features the very fast RedHawks and a slower-than-average Bulls five. This second meeting could well tilt a few factors toward the defenses. Look for Miami to be slowed.
The UNDER 164.5 (-105) is a solid play.
