‘Honey Don’t’ on Netflix: Margaret Qualley and Aubrey Plaza’s sex scene is surely a health code violation

Look, it was a tough January. I think we all deserve to watch Audrey Plaza getting railed by Margaret Qualley, as a treat, for making it through the worst of winter. It seems the good folks at Netflix agree, because Plaza and Qualley’s sexy lesbian comedy from 2025, Honey Don’t, is now streaming on Netflix.
Directed by Ethan Coen, who also co-wrote the screenplay with his wife Tricia Cooke, Honey Don’t! is the second installment in what Coen and Cooke are calling their “lesbian B-movie trilogy,” following last year’s Drive-Away Dolls. (That said, Coen also clarified to The Hollywood Reporter that there are “no definite plans to do a third movie,” but we can hope.)
Qualley stars as a private detective named Honey O’Donahue, working to solve a murder case that involves a religious cult. Also on the case is MG Falcone (Aubrey Plaza), a police officer who feels a spark with Honey. This spark is so strong, in fact, that MG is willing to break a few laws for her favorite PI—like public lewdness.

About halfway through the film, Honey spots her favorite cop, MG, in a local bar. Honey saunters over to talk about the case—but also to shoot her shot. Honey takes the bar stool next to MG, and guides the officer’s hand to her lap.
Said lap is just out of the shot, so we can’t quite see what’s going on—but we can certainly make an educated guess, based on Qualley’s increasingly short breaths and aroused facial expressions. It seems a lot like MG’s fingers are currently inside Honey, in this very public bar.

While this is going on, the ladies are still holding a conversation, chatting about hobbies, like the fact that MG is knitting (or possibly crocheting) the periodic table of elements. But it seems like Honey might be having trouble concentrating on the small talk. When the bartender asks if the ladies want another round, Honey quickly replies no thanks, they are ready to head out.
“Before we get arrested,” she adds, still breathing heavily, to MG.
“For getting to know each other?” MG asks, all innocent, as she pulls out her fingers and brings them to her mouth.

This all but confirms that yes, MG was just fingering Honey in broad daylight in the middle of this bar. Despite the fact that she’s an officer of the law, apparently she does not care about public indecency or the sanitation standards of that establishment. I mean, that’s surely a health code violation, right?
But it’s hard to blame either woman, not when the next scene finds them having very enthusiastic, hot sex back at Honey’s place. There’s choking, cunnilingus, and even, at one point, handcuffs. It’s extremely explicit and graphic—far too graphic for this PG-13 website to post screenshots. OK, fine. Just one. Or two.

I gotta be honest, Honey Don’t didn’t live up to my expectations in a lot of ways, but it certainly did deliver on the hot lesbian sex scenes. Let’s just hope the bartender in that bar washes his glasses and his hands very thoroughly.
