Aspiring Pop Star Lara Trump Clashes With Springsteen On ICE

Aspiring pop singer and podcast host Lara Trump railed against award-winning artist Bruce Springsteen for his latest single against ICE and her father in-law, President Donald Trump.

“You know, when you are a person with a platform like this, you would like to think that people would use it to do good, to calm people down, to maybe bring us together a little bit. All that does is divide people,” she said on her podcast “The Right View.”

Springsteen released “Streets of Minneapolis” last month after federal immigration officers killed U.S. citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti, both of whom conservatives have painted as agitators.

The song, which honors Pretti and Good, slams “King Trump” and his “federal thugs,” along with White House senior adviser Stephen Miller and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.

“You know, I don’t ever remember him putting together a song for those who have actually been killed by illegal aliens, the people who have come here,” fumed Trump, who is married to the president’s son Eric Trump.

“These people who think it’s just a great idea to get out and impede a legitimate law enforcement operation, which is exactly what’s going on in Minneapolis, what’s exactly what’s gone on all over this country, by the way, for about a year,” she said. “Now, if you think that’s a good idea, I’m sorry to tell you, you are an idiot.”

Trump is trying to break into a singing career of her own, and pitched herself to perform at Turning Point USA’s right-wing version of a Super Bowl halftime show. At present, it does not appear that she’s on the lineup.

Springsteen should “go to talk to the United States Congress and ask them to change the laws” if he “has a problem” with them, she argued on her podcast.

“Go talk to the people who actually put the laws of the land in place. That’s who you need to talk to,” Trump said. “But he’s never going to do that because he’s very comfortable in his mansion on his private jet, virtue signaling like this and putting out some ridiculous song like that. I’m sorry everyone had to endure that.”
