Fifth Carolina player gets Olympic call :: WRAL.com

The Carolina Hurricanes will have five, not four, representatives in the 2026 Winter Olympics. 

Center Seth Jarvis was invited Thursday — the day before the Opening Ceremony — to play for Team Canada. He replaces Brayden Point, who injured his knee Jan. 12 and was placed on injured reserve by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Jarvis joins Hurricanes teammates:

Frederik Andersen and Nikolaj Ehlers, who will play for Denmark

Sebastian Aho, who will represent Finland, and

Jaccob Slavin on Team USA.

Men’s ice hockey begins at the Milan Cortina Games on Feb. 11. Team Canada, in Group A, has its first game, against Czechia on Feb. 12.
