Blazers’ Scoot Henderson to make season debut vs. Grizzlies

The third-year point guard is expected to return to NBA action on Friday when the Trail Blazers host the Grizzlies, head coach Tiago Splitter told reporters on Thursday.
Henderson, 22, suffered a torn left hamstring during an off-season workout in late September, causing him to miss the team’s first 51 games.
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 draft averaged 12.7 points, 5.1 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 66 games last season for Portland. He is expected to be on a minutes restriction.
The Blazers are 10th in the Western Conference with a 23-28 record, two games ahead of the Grizzlies (20-29) for the final Play-In spot.
