Lacey arrives at her grandiose birthday party in Liverpool

Guests who had to cough up £38 per ticket to attend a child’s lavish birthday party have blasted the event.

TikTok star Lacey.m.xxx celebrated turning 12 at the BOXPARK retail space in Liverpool, hired out by her family, with a live DJ, dancers on stages and a VIP section separating her from much of the crowd. Pictured arriving in a sports car, Lacey — donning a bright pink ball gown – is seen hugging guests in a video posted to her 1.7 million followers on TikTok.

Tickets for the party cost £38, with Lacey herself announcing beforehand that about 2,000 people had signed up to get early access. Sources estimate that ticket sales alone generated £54,000. Paige Louise Williams, a Manchester-born influencer who owns a cosmetics brand, was at the event, and reportedly handed out goodie bags stuffed with her products.

But the extravagant party divided opinion among guests, and other parents observing the developments online. One parent wrote: “The worst experience my daughter’s ever had. Disgusting treatment all round.”

Another parent wrote in a scathing review: “The event was an absolute shambles from start to finish. We left before the end as my daughter and her friend were really upset they never got the chance to meet Lacey. She was basically in the VIP area the whole time.

“We waited in the queue for food for 30 minutes, got to the front and Lacey’s mum walked in front of us and put a big order in, so we were then told they weren’t taking any more orders for the next 40 minutes.

“Lacey herself went on stage and was swearing, which is not very child-friendly. It was all just a big money-making scheme and I wish I’d never bothered wasting my money on tickets.”

But Lacey regularly posts online happy images of her smiling, often alongside her mother and aunt, thought to also be at Sunday’s party in central Liverpool. Some comments online praise the event, which marked the girl’s birthday. One person said: “I am so happy for her, I can tell how grateful she is.”

Another comment on TikTok reads: “The party looked so fun and don’t get me started with the gift bags or the cake. It was busy but that goes to show SO many people care about you… People showed up and I’m sure they don’t have that many people as friends or supporters. You are so amazing, Lacey.” One mum, whose child attended the party, posted online: “My daughter had the best time.”
