Rocket, Redfin Release Super Bowl LX Ad Featuring Lady Gaga And Mister Rogers Theme

Rocket Companies and Redfin have released their full Super Bowl LX commercial, marking Redfin’s first Super Bowl appearance in its 20-year history and the latest large-scale branding push from the Detroit-based fintech.

The 60-second spot, titled “America Needs Neighbors Like You,” features Lady Gaga performing a reimagined version of “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?,” the iconic theme song from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. The commercial will air during the second quarter of Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8 and anchors a broader campaign centered on home, community, and neighborhood identity.

The ad tells the story of two teenage girls from different backgrounds whose lives intersect following major family transitions, using their evolving friendship to explore themes of resilience, empathy, and belonging. Rocket and Redfin said the campaign is intended to emphasize the emotional and social dimensions of homeownership, extending the message beyond a single transaction to long-term connection and stability.

“This campaign was created with a deep sense of purpose and a belief in what brings people together,” Jonathan Mildenhall, chief marketing officer at Rocket Companies, said in a statement. “America is at its best when we are neighborly, when we look out for one another and feel connected to the people around us.”

Performed by Lady Gaga, the reimagined song is delivered by an artist with broad cross-generational recognition. Gaga, a 14-time Grammy Award winner, is widely associated with themes of self-expression and inclusion, positioning her as a contemporary counterpart to the values long associated with Fred Rogers’ work.

Rocket and Redfin framed the message around broader housing and demographic trends. According to the companies, nearly 40% of U.S. households with children relocate at some point, with roughly one in five moves tied to major family transitions such as divorce or household expansion. More than 60% of parents of teenagers report their children experience social anxiety around moving.

The companies also cited data showing that only about one-quarter of Americans say they know most of their neighbors by name, while nearly seven in 10 report helping — or being helped by — a neighbor within the past year. Homeownership, they said, deepens those connections, with 71% of homeowners reporting a strong sense of community.

The commercial continues Rocket’s recent strategy of using the Super Bowl to create moments designed to resonate beyond the broadcast itself. During the second quarter of the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans, Rocket aired a 60-second ad titled “Own the Dream,” set to John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” When the spot concluded, the broadcast transitioned directly into a live, 15-second shot of more than 65,000 fans inside Caesars Superdome singing the chorus together — a moment coordinated in-stadium with the help of a DJ and on-field host.

This year’s effort builds on that foundation while expanding the scope of the message. By bringing Redfin onto the Super Bowl stage for the first time, Rocket is broadening its narrative from the individual journey to homeownership to the idea of neighborhoods and shared community.

Lady Gaga’s participation in Rocket’s Super Bowl commercial coincides with her seven nominations at the upcoming 2026 Grammy Awards across multiple categories.

Strategy Signals Behind The Message

The themes highlighted in Rocket and Redfin’s Super Bowl campaign echo remarks delivered earlier this year by Rocket Pro Vice President of Sales Paul Yatooma at the New England Mortgage Expo, where he emphasized personal branding as a defining competitive factor for mortgage professionals and companies alike.

“Personal branding is so critical,” Yatooma said. “People are going to make their assumptions about you before you even walk in the room nowadays. So it’s about what you want that to be versus what somebody’s going to say about it.”

Yatooma noted that as digital platforms, artificial intelligence and automation reshape the mortgage industry, branding increasingly determines how borrowers perceive lenders and originators before any direct interaction occurs. Against that backdrop, Rocket and Redfin’s Super Bowl appearance functions as a large-scale brand investment aimed at shaping consumer perception well ahead of a transaction and reinforcing familiarity and trust in a crowded, consolidating mortgage market.
