The Orillia Figure Skating Club is inviting the community to celebrate 75 years of skating excellence with a special anniversary weekend featuring a Carnival Ice Show and Alumni Social, taking place March 7 and 8, 2026.
The weekend will honour the club’s history and the generations of athletes, coaches, volunteers and alumni who have shaped the organization since 1951.
Carnival Ice Show — “The Beat Goes On: Celebrating 75 Years on the Ice”
The Carnival Ice Show, titled The Beat Goes On: Celebrating 75 Years on the Ice, will take place Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Rotary Place Arena, with performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The show will feature performances from Orillia Figure Skating Club skaters of all ages and levels, special alumni appearances and a headline performance by Elvis Stojko, a three-time world champion and two-time Olympic silver medallist.
Tickets are $25 per performance and are available for purchase online through the club’s website. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase a commemorative carnival program and tickets to meet Stojko.

Following the evening performance on March 7, the public will have the opportunity to meet Stojko during a post-show meet and greet, beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are limited and must be purchased online in advance. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult with a purchased ticket.
Alumni social gathering
The anniversary weekend concludes with an alumni social gathering on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hawk Ridge Golf Club. The event will include refreshments, a presentation highlighting memorable moments from the club’s 75-year history and opportunities for alumni to reconnect and share their stories. The alumni social costs $20 per person and requires pre-registration.
