Man charged with felony rape in Washington County

Parker Kingston, a wide receiver at Brigham Young University, was charged with felony rape in Washington County.

The Washington County Attorney’s Office filed the first-degree felony charge against Kingston, age 21, on Tuesday.

The charge follows an investigation that began in February 2025, when a 20-year-old woman reported sexual assault to officers at the St. George Regional Hospital.

The woman said Kingston sexually assaulted her in St. George on Feb. 23, 2025.

Detectives gathered digital and forensic evidence and interviewed witnesses before turning the information over to the Washington County Attorney’s Office for review.

Kingston was taken into custody and is being held in Washington County without bail.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.

Brigham Young University released the following statement:

“BYU became aware today of the arrest of Parker Kingston. The university takes any allegation very seriously, and will cooperate with law enforcement. Due to federal and university privacy laws and practices for students, the university will not be able to provide additional comment.”
