Drake Maye’s wife breaks silence on Patriots’ Super Bowl 2026 heartbreak

Ann Michael Maye is looking ahead following a crushing finish to the Patriots’ season.

Reflecting on New England’s 29-13 loss to Seattle in Super Bowl 2026 on Sunday, the wife of quarterback Drake Maye celebrated the team’s “incredible season” that saw the Patriots go from worst to first in the AFC East.

“Not how we wanted it to end but still thanking God for this incredible season,” Ann Michael wrote Wednesday on Instagram. “We are blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing group of people, who made this season what it was. This is only the beginning!!”

Maye, the Patriots’ third overall pick in 2024, helped guide the team to a 14-3 mark in the regular season in coach Mike Vrabel’s first year.

Although the Patriots conquered ferocious defenses in the Texans and Broncos during the postseason, they were no match for Seattle’s “dark side,” which intercepted Maye two times in Sunday’s game.

The second-year quarterback was also sacked six times and registered a fumble.

“I’d like to go back to the beginning and redo it,” Maye said of the game.

Despite the disappointing showing, Maye vowed to Patriots Nation Tuesday he will “do my best to work hard and get us back to those moments and those games.”

“Appreciate the fans, their support. I know I didn’t play as well as I would’ve liked down the stretch,” Maye said, according to NBC Sports Boston.

The quarterback, who had been grappling with a shoulder injury, said he will forever carry the lessons learned on Sunday.

“I think you can use it as a learning experience. It’s an experience I’ll have a chance to remember for the rest of my career, the rest of my life. But it’s a chance to go and battle back from something that didn’t go your way, you wish would’ve gone different. Gives you fuel to remember that and it gives you something to work for,” he said.
