Noni Madueke tells Arsenal’s £64m star ‘You’re on Fire’ after clinical training display before Brentford clash

Noni Madueke and his teammates are hard at work ahead of Arsenal’s game against Brentford.

The Gunners’ dream of going nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table ended when Manchester City beat Liverpool at Anfield.

But Arsenal’s destiny remains in their own hands, and a win against Brentford will help them retain their big lead at the top.

One player who has impressed recently is Viktor Gyokeres, and Madueke was blown away by him in training.

Gyokeres has had a mixed season at Arsenal so far.

The Swedish striker took some time to adapt to Mikel Arteta’s system and the pace of the Premier League, and just when he looked like he was up to speed, he suffered an injury against Burnley.

Gyokeres needed a bit more time to get back to his best after returning from that issue, but now, he looks like he is ready to deliver.

The former Sporting CP man has scored three goals in his last two Premier League games for Arsenal, and it now finally feels like he has arrived.

At the Sobha Realty Training Centre on Wednesday, Gyokeres was involved in a shooting drill alongside Noni Madueke and a few others.

After the Arsenal number 14 scored a goal, an impressed Madueke could be heard in the background in the Inside Training video on the club’s official website.

He said: “Nah, you’re on fire at the moment, man, I’ll tell you what!”

Viktor Gyokeres must start for Arsenal against Brentford

Arteta has plenty of options in attack right now.

Gyokeres will be raring to go, but Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz are also available to play up front if required.

Arteta chose the Brazilian in the game against Sunderland, but Gyokeres is the one he should pick for the visit to Brentford on Thursday night.

The Swede is in the best form since he moved to the Emirates Stadium, and after his brace off the bench in the last game, his confidence will be sky-high.

As good as Jesus has been, Gyokeres should be the one to get the nod against the Bees.
