Winter Olympics 2026: Josie Baff claims Australia’s first-ever gold in women’s snowboard cross

Josie Baff delivered a spectacular performance to win the Milano Cortina 2026 women’s snowboard cross title on Friday (13 February).

The Australian battled hard to secure her first Olympic medal at Livigno Snow Park, six years after her gold at the Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games. Baff’s win today makes her the first Australian winner – and first medallist – in the women’s Olympic snowboard cross event. 

Eva Adamczyková of Czechia finished second, with Michela Moioli of Italy winning bronze.
