Live updates: College baseball’s opening weekend scores, highlights

College baseball is back! The 2026 season begins today, Feb. 13, with opening days across the country. With five months between now and the Men’s College World Series, today could be the day one team starts its magical run to greatness.
We’ll be following all the action all over the country throughout opening weekend, including top walk-offs, moments, performances and more.

Ranked teams in action
The start of the college baseball season means the start of ranked baseball play. We’ll see a few ranked vs. ranked matchups to open the year (more on that below), but other ranked teams will open up against unranked teams.
Here’s who the top-10 preseason ranked teams play:

Top series to watch
👀 The only regular-season meeting of MCWS teams
When No. 12 Oregon State faces No. 24 Arizona on opening weekend in the College Baseball Series in Surprise, Ariz., it put two teams from last season’s MCWS head-to-head. While the season is only beginning, Oregon State-Arizona will be the only time this regular season that two of the past eight MCWS teams will play during the regular season.
Michigan and Stanford will also play during the College Baseball series. See the full slate of games below:

🇵🇷 College Baseball heads off the mainland
After Bad Bunny performed at the Super Bowl halftime show, Puerto Rico remains in the headlines with some opening weekend college baseball at the Puerto Rico Challenge. Eight college baseball teams head to the Caribbean island to open the season.
We’ll see preseason ranked teams like No. 17 NC State and No. 21 Wake Forest in action. See the schedule below:
