After the hors d’oeuvres of the Barnet-Cheltenham lunchtime kick-off let’s get stuck into the meat and potato pie on offer at 3pm as nine important games get under way in League Two.

Quite rightly many eyes will be closely focused on the top of the table clash between first and third, Bromley and Notts County.

But there is plenty elsewhere to get our teeth into with second-placed Swindon looking to win a fifth match on the spin at struggling Shrewsbury, who start the afternoon a couple of places above the relegation zone.

Bottom club Harrogate emerged blinking into the light after arresting their mid-season slump with a first win in 21 games against arguably the division’s hottest team in Cambridge United last weekend.

Can Simon Weaver (pictured) get them to back it up at SMH Group Stadium against hosts Chesterfield, who are unbeaten in three?

Fifth-placed MK Dons, League Two’s leading scorers with 59 goals, can go into the top three with a win against Newport at stadium:mk. Paul Warne’s side will fancy their chances coming into this unbeaten in six and having won four of their past five.

Their Welsh opponents have won just one of their past seven matches.

Fourth-placed Cambridge may still be wondering quite how they lost to Harrogate last weekend but have at least put that to bed with a 3-0 win at Crawley in midweek.

They remain in hot form having won eight of their past 10 but host a Bristol Rovers side who have won their past two.

Crewe entertain Gillingham in a mid-table clash between 10th and 14th, with both sides in decent recent form, the former unbeaten in four and Gareth Ainsworth’s side having won three of their past five.

In contrast, Oldham and Fleetwood bring cold form to Boundary Park having lost their past three and six of their past eight, respectively.

And 17th-placed Tranmere shiver their way into a home clash with 20th-placed Crawley, the Merseyside club having lost their past six against a side who have lost their past two.
