Report: Dolphins release veteran pass rusher Bradley Chubb

The Miami Dolphins are shaking up their defence.
The Dolphins released pass rusher Bradley Chubb, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on Monday.
Chubb’s restructure last year had a cap number of more than $31 million for 2026 and 2027, so the Dolphins may have always intended to release him, as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport explained.
Miami will save $7.3 million in cap space while taking on $23.8 million in dead money by moving on from Chubb.
Chubb joined the Dolphins in 2022 after a trade with the Denver Broncos in which Miami sent a first and a fourth-round pick and running back Chase Edmonds.
The 29-year-old played in 41 games with the Dolphins, registering 133 tackles, 22 sacks, 22 tackles for loss and nine forced fumbles.
