Megan Oldham seeking double redemption at Winter Olympics 2026

Megan Oldham’s comeback after concussion
To even get to Milano Cortina 2026, Oldham has had to overcome a “mental battle”.
In November, she suffered a concussion while training new tricks in Switzerland.
“I spent four weeks at home just doing nothing, trying to recoup,” Oldham told the Toronto Star.
“I didn’t know if it was going to be something that I’d wake up in a few weeks and feel fine, or if I was going to be struggling with it for a year or so. So that was really tough.
“Luckily, after about a month and a half, I felt quite a bit better, and was able to get back on my skis.
“But it definitely is a difficult process to try and come back after a mental battle like that.
“It’s hard to trust yourself again when you’re going to do these big tricks.”
That back story made Oldham’s comeback from her heavy fall in the slopestyle final even more impressive.
“When I took that pretty big crash, you kind of get some of those feelings again when you’ve had previous crashes,” she admitted.
“It’s almost like this trauma that comes back. You get really scared and anxious again.
“It’s hard to just figure out exactly what you need in that moment mentally, so I’m happy I was able to collect myself.”
