Thames Valley District School Board – TVDSB Skills Competition Showcases Student Talent Across Skilled Trades

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) will welcome approximately 135 participating secondary students and 60 elementary observers, to its annual Skills Competition on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. The event will be hosted primarily at Fanshawe College’s London Campus, with three additional contest sites at Fanshawe campuses in Woodstock and downtown London.
 

The TVDSB Skills Competition is a dynamic celebration of skilled trades education a Track and Field-style event where each contest represents a unique skilled trade or technology. Students from across the district will compete in 15 hands-on contests, including welding, photography, precision machining, hairstyling, baking, carpentry, and more.

Most finalists will earn the chance to advance to regional or provincial competitions, where they will represent TVDSB against top talent from across Ontario (based on Skills Ontario seat allocations).

  • 2D Animation – 137 Dundas Street, London

  • Hairstyling – 369 Finkle Street, Woodstock
  • Automotive Technician and Outdoor Power – 1764 Oxford Street East, London
  • All other contests – 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd, London
