Bunnie Xo is setting the record straight on her relationship with Jelly Roll.

In her memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, which was released Tuesday, Feb. 17, the Dumb Blonde host clarified her take on monogamy while reflecting on her 2018 discovery that her husband had had a 10-month affair.

Bunnie, 46, writes that she and Jelly, 41, would invite other women into bed with them, which “was never an issue.”

She reveals that she thought being open to having third parties in their bedroom would prevent her from another cheating experience in her life.

Bunnie writes that when she and Jelly initially began dating, they “both frowned upon monogamy.”

She then notes that it wasn’t an open relationship, and they didn’t agree to have sex with anyone at any time.

While Bunnie points out that she and Jelly are not in an open relationship, they wouldn’t turn down a woman who wanted to come home with them.

She then writes that her husband has always told her she could sleep with other men if she so desired, which initially hurt her because she felt like if Jelly wasn’t “possessive and jealous” that he didn’t love her.

“We both live by the motto that we aren’t each other’s possessions and consider our relationship to be free, not open,” Bunnie writes.

According to the podcast host, that means openness “sexually” and honesty.

In October 2025, Jelly opened up about how cheating on Bunnie was “one of the worst moments” of his adult life.

“One of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” he said on the Human School podcast. “Because it was the first time that I was like, ‘I really can’t get this right at all. I know I’m in love with this woman.’ It just really, really, really blew me back.”

The “Save Me” singer said he put “a lot of work to repair” their relationship, and he and Bunnie today are “stronger than we could have ever been.”

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Bunnie opened up about punching her husband after he claimed not to regret a 10-month affair that nearly ended their marriage.

“I really was just searching for the love of my father in so many men, and then it became a career,” she said. “I thought I was taking my power back from the abuse that I’d been through, but really I was just in survival mode.”

Bunnie continued, “I took situations from my childhood and let them sour me as I got older, and I want to take full responsibility for my actions. It’s important that if you’re going to give somebody your testimony, you give them the good, the bad and the ugly.”
