ATP Doha Quarterfinal Predictions Including Carlos Alcaraz vs Karen Khachanov

The quarterfinals at the ATP Doha event promise some intriguing battles, with players bringing varied recent results and hard-court experience into the mix. As always, we here at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match on the schedule. But who will advance?

ATP Doha Quarterfinal Predictions

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Andrey Rublev

Head-to-head: Tsitsipas 6-6 Rublev

Stefanos Tsitsipas has shown signs of turning things around in Doha, picking up a solid win over Daniil Medvedev in straight sets to reach his first quarterfinal in months. His ability to mix pace and spin from the baseline suits hard courts well, where he’s reached multiple Grand Slam finals. Andrey Rublev, coming off a final in Hong Kong but an early Australian Open exit, relies on his powerful groundstrokes to dictate rallies. Their even history suggests a close one, but Tsitsipas’s recent confidence and shot variety give him the edge to control key moments.

Prediction: Tsitsipas in 3

Jiri Lehecka vs Arthur Fils

Head-to-head: Lehecka 1-1 Fils

Jiri Lehecka got his year up-and-running couple of wins in Doha, including a straight-sets victory over Jenson Brooksby, building on his strong hard-court showings like his Adelaide title a couple years back. He handles pace well and stays aggressive from the baseline. Arthur Fils, after early losses in Rotterdam and Montpellier, has youth on his side but needs to tighten up his consistency against steady opponents. Their last meeting on hard went Lehecka’s way, and his experience in longer rallies should help him pull through here.

Prediction: Lehecka in 3

Jakub Mensik vs Jannik Sinner

Head-to-head: first meeting

Jakub Mensik has been on a tear early in 2026, winning Auckland and reaching the Australian Open fourth round before withdrawing, with his big serve and forehand shining on hard courts. He’s carried that into Doha with a three-set win over Jan Choinski to get his campaign underway before beating Zhang Zhizhen in comprehensive fashion. Jannik Sinner, who arrived after a tough Australian Open semifinal loss to Novak Djokovic, has bounced back with straight-sets victories over Tomas Machac and Alexei Popyrin, using his clean ball-striking and movement to dominate from the baseline. His track record of over 200 hard-court wins since 2021 is a reflection of his ability to adapts quickly and wear down opponents. He should have the edge here.

Prediction: Sinner in 2

Carlos Alcaraz vs Karen Khachanov

Head-to-head: Alcaraz 5-0 Khachanov

Carlos Alcaraz is undefeated so far this year following Australian Open title run, and opened his ATP Doha campaign with a hard-fought win over Arthur Rinderknech which he followed up with a more dominant win over Valentin Royer. His speed and shot-making thrive on hard surfaces, where he’s notched 150 career victories. Khachanov, with a mix of wins and losses early on, including a Doha opener over Mochizuki, brings power from the back but has struggled to find openings in their past encounters. Alcaraz’s variety and ability to elevate in big points make him tough to jhandle.

Prediction: Alcaraz in 2
