‘Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie Latest In Talks To Join A24 Comedy ‘Peaked’

EXCLUSIVE: Connor Storrie, star of the breakout hit series Heated Rivalry from Crave/HBO Max, is in talks to join the cast of Peaked, the comedy coming together at A24.

Storrie’s role is being kept under wraps. Set to shoot this month, Peaked follows the two girls who traumatized you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.

Molly Gordon and Allie Levitan are set to star alongside Emma Mackey, with Gordon directing from a script written with Levitan. As we told you first earlier today, the film’s cast will also include Laura Dern, Simone Ashley, Levon Hawke, Mitra Jouhari, and Gabby Windey. A24 is set to finance the project and produce alongside David Hinojosa, Zach Nutman and Gordon, with Levitan exec producing.

Storrie stars opposite Hudson Williams in Heated Rivalry, an adaptation of the novels by Rachel Reid which broke out as a cultural phenomenon when it made its way to HBO Max in select territories after debuting on Crave in November 2025. The show centers on two fiercely competitive NHL superstars — Canadian Shane Hollander (Williams) and Russian Ilya Rozanov (Storrie) — who begin a secret, years-long enemies-with-benefits affair that slowly evolves into an all-consuming love neither of them is prepared to face.

Created, written, and directed by Jacob Tierney, Heated Rivalry averaged over 10.6 million U.S. viewers on HBO Max in its first season, breaking ground as the platform’s most-watched acquired scripted series. It’s already been renewed for a second installment.

Prior to starring in the queer hockey romance, Storrie appeared in smaller roles in projects like Tiny Beautiful Things and Joker: Folie à Deux. On February 28, he’s set to host Saturday Night Live for the first time, with Mumford & Sons as musical guest. He is represented by CAA, Atlas Artists, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
