“Breakups or not breakups” – Love Island’s Harrison and Lauren’s relationship explained after AJ’s shock claim

Love Island: All Stars has not been short of drama, and tonight’s episode is no exception. With a group of ex-islanders returning to the firepit to give their verdict on which couples are most compatible, there were bound to be some bombshell claims to leave us all on the edge of our seats.
One such claim came from former contestant AJ Bunker during Sunday night’s episode. Speaking to Belle and Harrison, she stated: “I’ve been on the outside, I’ve seen things – break-ups or not break-ups…not telling a certain person…”
While viewers will have to wait until the episode airs at 9pm to see whether AJ elaborates on these comments, it seems she may be hinting at Harrison’s previous relationship with former Love Island contestant Lauren, who recently claimed that they’d planned to get back together.
So, when did the couple actually break up? We’re here to unpack their relationship timeline.
When did Lauren and Harrison get together?
Lauren and Harrison met on the 2025 regular summer season of Love Island. Harrison entered the villa fairly early on, but it wasn’t until Casa Amor that he met Lauren. They quickly became smitten with each other, and he brought her back to the main villa, even though he had previously been showing interest in Toni.
A shock recoupling meant Lauren was dumped from the island, and after a day of consideration, Harrison left with her.

Are Lauren and Harrison still together?
In November, Lauren took to social media to announce her and Harrison’s split, so as far as we know, the couple are not together.
Her Instagram statement read, “Hi everyone, Harrison & I have decided to no longer continue our relationship but will remain friends as everything was amicable and mutual. We share such amazing memories together, ones that not many can relate to. Please respect our privacy whilst we navigate going our separate ways.”
There were rumours about Harrison’s application to Love Island: All Stars, and speaking to The Sun in an interview about the breakup, Lauren even stated that, “Obviously he’s on his own now, I would be obviously gutted [if he did All Stars].”
She went on to say, “It’s never nice to see anyone that you love on another TV show. But at the end of the day he’s single, it’s up to him what he does with his life.”
Were Lauren and Harrsion getting back together before All Stars?
However, after multiple swipes at each other on social media and some pretty concrete statements about their split, Lauren revealed a major truth bomb whilst speaking on the NotMyBagg podcast.
She said that, while yes, they did break up in November, it was mainly so they could take the time to work on themselves with the hope of one day getting back together. They still messaged most days, and it was when he suddenly stopped replying that Lauren thought he might have gone on All Stars.
She said, “It’s the fact that he’s literally just spoke to me right up until the moment and then just disappeared. You can’t disappear without a trace and go on one of the biggest shows on ITV. I just can’t comprehend the thought process from his perspective.”
Hmm… so it seems AJ’s “breakups or not break ups” comment might have some truth to it after all!
Love Island: All Stars airs on ITV2 at 9pm.
