BAG Convergence earns recognition from the Google News Initiative for digital innovation

BAG Convergence (News24 Digital) has made a notable achievement in the digital space. The company’s digital team was recognised under the Google News Initiative (GNI), with its work highlighted among selected publishers in the country.
According to the company, BAG Convergence successfully implemented the Reader Revenue Manager (RRM) in partnership with Google. Over the past several months, the team worked closely with Google to enhance audience engagement and strengthen data-driven decision-making capabilities.
As part of this initiative, extensive audience surveys were conducted across the company’s various websites. The surveys received more than 300,000 responses in a short period, making it one of the most comprehensive audience engagement studies conducted in India in collaboration with Google.
Multiple teams across BAG Convergence played a pivotal role in this achievement. The Business and Strategy team initiated the partnership and developed the overall strategy. The Product and Technology team worked alongside Google’s support team to successfully implement the technical integration. Once completed, the solution was handed over to the SEO and Editorial teams.
Over two months, the SEO and editorial teams collected key audience data, including demographics, location, and interests. This data is now being used to refine content direction and strengthen sales planning through more effective media strategies.
Reflecting on this milestone, Chairperson and Managing Director Anuradha Prasad stated that as the global digital landscape changes swiftly, BAG Convergence is keeping pace. She added that the meaningful insights gained from the Google RRM survey will help shape future content strategies to suit the behaviours of a new generation of audiences.
